Government Sales
Job Summary
Acts as liaison between customer and production department by monitoring customer print inquiries, pre-press and production schedules and helping customers manage their portal for their jobs. Sells screen printing and/or graphic imaging products for company to business and governmental by performing the following duties personally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Talks with customers by phone or in person about printing requirements and assists customer with Tflow portal set-up and/or job entry in Tflow.
  • Monitors customer files in Tflow, expediting where necessary
  • Coordinates the preparation of all formal quotes and proposals.
  • Handles phone inquiries from customers and prospects.
  • Manages client profiles in CRM, and uses CRM to regularly communicate with client by deploying core outbound messaging tools as provided by/proscribed by company and/or outside sales consultant.
  • Maintains lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective B2B customers to solicit orders, making presentations of company products and services and quoting prices for the purpose of closing the sale and entering the order in Tflow.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company's firm's production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Solves customer problems and complaints that are routine and refers more complex sales and technical problems to company management.
  • Reviews trade literature for new developments and products in the field.
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of work area and equipment.
    Supervisory Responsibilities
    This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Carries out conduct and leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws.

    Education and/or Experience
    Bachelor's degree or two year Associate Degree with emphasis on sales, or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong skills in work planning, scheduling, and must have good judgment of color, design, and printing quality. Strong skills in technology, work planning, and influencing (people skills). Affinity for continual learning and personal development.

    Language Skills
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and employees. Ability to write business correspondence as necessary.

    Mathematical Skills
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to use pricing matrices provided by the company.

    Reasoning Ability
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.
