Universal Timber Structures is currently hiring for a Sales Position.
Universal Timber Structures serves the custom architectural glulam construction market in the United States. We have complete complement of engineers and estimators available to design and price the glulam structure projects.This is a full-time position, qualified candidates must maintain high quality standards, safety, organization and professionalism, as well demonstrate knowledge in Sales, estimating and managing construction projects from start to finish. Candidate must have sound understanding of the structural timber construction.Our ideal candidate is an innovative but decisive individual who can work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-based environment; is approachable, empathetic and outgoing; can quickly gain trust and respect; and is able to establish and maintain relationships. Duties include but are not limited to: research, identify, and develop new customers, projects and opportunities; manage leads and acquire new business by making calls, scheduling meetings and follow up appointments; excel in cold call tactics; educate, develop and build long lasting relationships with new and existing customers; provide documentation and samples to current and potential customers; schedule appointments with current customers to determine other opportunities; educate customers on new products and ideas that they may be unaware of; assist customers with purchasing questions; write sales proposal; follow up with customers during and after proposal and projects; handle customer questions, complaints and concerns; create weekly activity reports; The successful candidate will work with customers such as builders, architects,. Job Requirements: 1. 2+ years of experience as a Sales/ Estimating on Commercial / Industrial construction projects2. Able to read and utilize plans, blueprints, and specifications3. Organized and detail-oriented with unquestionable personal integrity4. Able to work well under pressure and keep stress levels to a minimum5, Develop and refine project specific and client-driven goals, schedules, and budgets;6. On negotiated design-build projects, assist the design team during the design phase. Identify inefficiencies and recommend changes to keep project on budget while still meeting the required specifications;7, Provide estimating assistance to preconstruction staff as needed;8, Submit and review change orders while effectively communicating issues and developing resolutions;9, Review and address plan details, resolve issues before they result in added budget expenditures;
