Apply today!Supervisory Description: Directly supervises shipping, Receiving, and planning staff, for Bakery and Snacks at the Plant and DC. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include input into interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving personnel issues. Supervisor will also be responsible for certain 3rd Party vendor relationships applicable to the shipping and receiving departments. Verifying product conformance to company specifications, HACCP/CTS guidelines, and quality standards. Maintain all documentation and records required by Federal law. Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completely and properly filled out and processed. Ensure that the product is loaded properly, accurately and shipped under safe and sanitary conditions. Responsibilities also include Budget and Inventory management. Other duties may be assigned as needed.Job Functions:1) Review pertinent information with other supervisors, managers and or the Planning/Scheduling Department.2) Monitor daily shipping schedule.3) Use the Campbell Leadership Model to interpret company policies to workers and enforce hygiene and safety regulations.4) Coordinate classroom and on-the-job training for new and transferred employees.5) Conduct training in new procedures, OSHA, and other federally mandated compliance programs etc.6) Maintain time, attendance, and payroll records for receiving and shippers.7) Estimate, requisition and inspect materials needed for operation.8) Review order schedule and estimate worker requirements for completion.9) Interpret specifications and job orders to employees and assign duties as required.10) Work closely with our Dedicated carrier partners and any other carriers as needed.11) Establish or adjust work procedures to meet distribution and transportation schedules.12) Implement measures to improve productivity and product quality.13) Direct changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the work crew.14) Analyze and resolve work problems and assist employees in solving work related issues.15) Inspect product to verify conformance to specifications and assume responsibility for the Quality System requirements.16) Facilitate work group and plant safety meetings.17) Participate in internal and external audits, inspections, and visits.18) Conduct weekly, monthly, and comprehensive inventory counts.19) Must adhere to all GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices20) Communicate with Corporate & Sales on Issues related to inventory or shipping delays.21) Oversee/Monitor the OS&D program.22) Manage Temp Labor (within Budget)23) Coordinate and oversee Stuffing shipments during peak Stuffing SeasonEducation and/or Experience:
College degree preferred; two to three years related experience and/or training in high paced, environment equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills:Strong computer proficiency is required in the following: Time and Attendance (Kronos), Outlook, SAP Windows based software applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Capable of delivering presentations and training to various audiences. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to lead shippers and planners as well as working with and negotiating with 3rd party vendors as needed.Work Conditions:8 -12 Hour shift. Flexibility to work other schedules and shifts as required. Overtime is required.Environment - Work divided between office and plant environment. Some outside work in the yard may also be required. While in the plant noise levels will be minimal to moderate and temperature will be controlled. Lighting is sufficient. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
