BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES Cogen and Refrigeration Supervisor is responsible for all operations related to the boilers and Natural Gas turbines as well as refrigeration and HVAC systems and the teams supporting them. In this role, you will direct and coordinate the power generation, steam and refrigeration needs for the plants continuous production to ensure maximum operating efficiency in a safe , cost effective and timely manner. You will have the opportunity to work on, ammonia engine rooms, industrial boilers and natural gas turbines, air compressors, freezers, steam lines and much more. We are looking for a fast paced leader to join the team and help create efficiencies on our team. Interprets the regulatory requirements and appropriate preparation of the site PSM programs associated with the EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining to Anhydrous Ammonia as a hazardous chemical. Coordinate the PSM and work order system.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited four year college or University in Safety Management or related field and 3 plus years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Assists facility management with development of annual program implementation goals, provides periodic reports and distributes as required.
• Ensures that the plant policies and procedures are administered and followed in a fair and consistent manner.
• Bring your system-wide perspective on Cogen, steam generation refrigeration and maintenance.
• Uphold and work with EPA and OSHA regulatory agencies to maintain compliance.
• Ensure that operators and Technicians follow company procedures for dealing with internal threat/security situations
• Under the utilities manager lead the refrigeration and cogen department in the successful operation of the refrigeration department.
• Develop and establish KPI's to follow up with employees and systems
• Ensures the parts inventory for boiler/refrigeration equipment is adequate to meet maintenance needs
• Responsible for PSM programs, leads the Process Safety Management Team and is responsible for submittals, report status and improvements
• Involvement with PSM audits, mechanical integrity, PHA audits and maintain compliance with all state and local codes/regulations.
• Gathers and centrally organizes information pertaining to all 14 elements of PSM to sustain the program.
• Directs the Cogen/Refrigeration function to assure the maximum operating efficiencies are maintained and meet maximum production, ,quality, and grade while minimizing downtime, accidents and cost.NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environmentAbility to write reports, work on MS, business correspondence, and procedural manualsExperience working with or knowledge of OSHA, EPA, with prior experience in food industry is a plusExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneouslyAbility to anticipate needs, forecast conditions, set goals/standards and measure results and KPI'sExperience with general repairsEQUIPMENT Respirator, air pack, valves, hand tools, freezer wear, face shield, goggles, thermal and chemical gloves, earplugs, bump cap, safety glasses.WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed both in and out of doors. Requires exposure to temperature extremes, moving equipment, heights, high noise levels, wetness, vibrations, fumes, dust, etc. Work is performed on rotating shifts, but must be flexible to work any shift, plus weekends and holidays, when necessary due to 24/7 operations.
