WAREHOUSE SELECTOR


Ready to get your work done and go home, while earning great income? McLane Orlando is currently offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus for Warehouse Selectors with foodservice distribution experience. Our Warehouse Selectors start at $18.00 per hour, increasing to $21.00 after training, based on performance.

Schedule of Sunday, Monday Thursday and Friday from 12:00pm to 10:45 pm.
This position is in a Step Progression Range with Salary incentives up to $26.00 based on productivity.

Our warehouse teammates move product through our DCs quickly and safely, ensuring orders are filled and loaded for deliveries.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

• Review documents and record information verifying quantity, identity, availability and condition of product. Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free.
  
• Drive and operate the reach truck, pallet jack and fork truck to select, pull, sort, and stack product within the warehouse and dock.
  
• Hand stack product on occasion when off balance or in the wrong location.
  
• Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.
  
• Arrange to clear isles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area.
  
• Meet this position s physical demands.
  
  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  
  • At least 18 years of age.
    
  • Have 1-2 years of distribution warehouse experience including operation of reach truck, electric pallet jack/walkie rider & forklift is desired.
    
  • Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity preferred.
    
  • Must be able to work in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required.
    
  • Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
    
  • Lift 50 60 lbs on a consistent basis and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
    
  • Be able to work 10 plus hours shift, typically from Sunday; at times weekends and holidays will be required.
    
  • Be able to read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
    
  • Be able to perform mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to verify quantities of product.
    
  • This position may require work in hot and cold temperature extremes and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents and components, and working in close proximity to other teammates.
    
  • Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
    
  • Be able to deliver customer satisfaction within McLane guidelines.
    
  • Independent discretion/judgment but work well in a team environment as well.
    
    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    
    • The environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center
      
    • Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN THE FREEZER.
