Food Assembly Team Member MissionAn Assembly Team Member is responsible for plating food items in accordance to our standard plating guides. This is a critical role in making sure every customer finds our products appealing and consistent, thus deciding to purchase.All our meals are fresh non-frozen meals, which requires assembly in a refrigerated room (38*F).The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. The job environment is stable, based on known relationships with people and well-defined processes. Job knowledge and competency is built through structured step-by-step training and positive, supportive coaching from management and peers.ResponsibilitiesEnsures all ingredients are put onto plate with proper placement per plating guideCommunicates any variance in number of plates needed to number produced to managerPortion food items according to predefined instructions and ensure that garnishing activities are properly carried outAbility to work with a controlled sense of urgency to achieve 85% efficiency within 2-weeksEnsures all safety and sanitation practices are upheld with a no compromise standardAdopts & maintains "Perfection of Plate" mentality through all levels and areasMust be able to be trained on proper use of scales and portion scoopsAny special task at management requestAbility to stand for long periods of timeHandle food rotation activities, placing special focus on ensuring that food items are not wastedSteady, even pace to promote accuracy and quality of work Repetitive routines Complete set of procedures and tasks completed before new ones are begunTechnical/analytical focus Work within established systems, standards, and procedures Communication based on job knowledge and expertiseDecision-making within clearly defined job scope Based on defined policies and procedures Supported by managementFocused on job knowledge and expertise Helpful, supportive communication with management and peers Collaborative approach in structured job environmentLeadership focused on consistent, accurate, quality work output Supportive, non-threatening leadership style Delegation to others when appropriate, using training, coaching and on the job experience RequirementsMust be at least 18 years oldBe able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of timeEmbraces Fitlife's core Vision & Values Knowledge of proper food handling proceduresAttention to detailAbility to read, understand and carry out task per plate or recipe guideAbility to take, understand and use constructive criticism to produce the best you and the best productAbility to bend, stop, kneel, and twistAbility to sit, stand and do repetitive work for long periods of timeAbility to read, write, identify, and verify numbersAbility to interpret, understand and follow instructionsPhysical Requirements: Standing up to 10 hours, lifting up to 35 lbs., work in cold environment, reaching, pulling, repetitive use of hands Work EnvironmentTemperatures could range from 38 degrees to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Boots and jackets are provided at no charge, because of working under refrigeration.
