Our client, a propulsion and launch services company are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer II at their site on the Florida's Space Coast.
This fantastic start up provides safe, reliable and cost-effective launch services that are revolutionizing access to space and making it available to the rapidly growing small satellite market.
In this position you will be responsible for all phases of the rocket engine test stand covering design, development, installation and repair.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a growing space launch start up and you will have a direct impact on the development and production of a new launch vehicle in the space market.
The key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
--- Designing, developing, and overseeing the construction of propulsion test stands and associated flight and ground hardware--- Reviewing and developing test stand structural specifications and designs--- Supporting test stand build-up and testing operations including, mechanical assembly, feed system checkout, data acquisition, and electrical issues--- Identify and communicate technical, cost and schedule risks
Key requirements: --- --- Masters in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline--- Bachelors plus 2 years relevant experience with rocket motor propulsion system design and testing can substitute for the Masters.--- Hands on experience in the design and manufacturing of test stands, preferably for hybrid rocket engines, including oxidizer plumbing, structural dynamic loads, and stress analysis--- Experience with SolidWorks CAD or similar software Please apply if you are interested, we would love to hear from you!
