Position Description

Amcrete - General Laborer

Summary:

The General Laborer performs a variety of tasks on the construction jobsite and supports skilled trades as needed.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Supports skilled trades with materials and labor support as needed to complete project tasks
  • Provides jobsite cleanup of specific trades work and general cleanup of the complete project
    • Loads and unloads jobsite deliveries
      • Organizes jobsite materials
        • Adheres to the companys safety policies to create a safe work environment
          • Other duties as assigned

            Position Requirements
            
            Amcrete - General Laborer
            
            Desired Qualifications/Skills:
            
            • High School Diploma or GED required
              • Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the role
                • 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment
                  • Must obtain proper training and certifications prior to operating equipment
                    • Must have active operators card
                      • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust
                        • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work
                          • Ability to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
                            • Must maintain a valid drivers license and clean driving record
                              • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
                                • Must have the necessary dexterity and fine motor skills
                                  • Ability to work in an environment where the noise level is generally loud
                                    • Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may at times require overnight stays away from home
                                      • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
                                        • Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
