*Position Summary*

*Customer Service Support Specialist Skills and Qualifications*

A Customer Service Support Specialist needs to have excellent interpersonal skills in order to work efficiently within a team while having the ability to complete tasks and make decisions independently. Other essential skills a Support Specialist should have include:
* Computer literacy: In addition to data entry and typing, Customer Service Support Specialists need to have knowledge of basic spreadsheet and word processing creation software.
* Time management and organization: These professionals use a variety of organization methods, including calendar management, to handle multiple projects at one time and completing tasks efficiently and quickly.
* Customer service Support Specialists should have strong professional conversation etiquette, especially with email and verbal over the phone when interacting with company representatives, customers and suppliers.
* Communication: Clear communication and the ability to explain concepts in simple terms are used to help the customer work through problems and accurately describe products.
* Problem-solving: These professionals should be able to use critical and creative thinking to identify and resolve issues with products and orders.

*Essential Job Duties and Functions: *
* *Customer Quoting Process*
* Enters/ uploads request for quotes
* Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, Teams and Outlook
* Cross-checks items against AP+M scope of parts service (eliminating parts that AP+M does not strategically supply)
* Determines availability of parts by sourcing
* Populates costs
* Identifies items requiring sourcing
* Evaluates lead time requirements versus product availability
* Develops preliminary pricing based on guidelines and prior customer PO's/ quotes

* *Customer Order Management*

* Responsible for customer order management from order receipt to invoice and meeting required deliveries
* Enter/upload/convert quote for customer PO
* Confirm quantities, price, availability, and lead times
* Confirm order and any discrepancies with customer
* Place any required non-stock purchase orders with supplier with linkage to customer order
* Monitor order to identify any pick discrepancies/ order cuts. Address order cuts including communication with customer
* Monitor that ship confirmation process occurs at expected timing
* Communicate any required advanced shipping notice ("ASN") information to customers
* Answer customer inquiries
* *Vendor Sourcing Process for un-established sourcing arrangements*
* Reference prior sourcing quotes from vendors
* Check market clearance sources for availability and costs (Quantum Stock Market, etc.)
* Send RFQ's to selective sources
* Negotiate final pricing arrangements
* Obtain purchase costs and lead times
* Load costs and lead times to quote

*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: *

* Accurately process and confirm orders
* Excellent computer skills, excel, word, Microsoft office.
* Provide pricing, credit terms, and specs in accordance with standard operating procedures
* Obtain and pass on accurate information relating to products and deliveries
* Set up and maintain customer files
* Keep up to date on current trends, training, and information
* Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-function office environment
* Exceptional communication skills to include written, verbal, and telephone
* Ability to work independently or in a team setting on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction
* Ability to understand logistics (carriers, BOL, FOB liabilities)
* Possession of strong organizational skills; able to maintain a variety of customer files (in e-mail and hard copy).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
