Experience and Education: Minimum bachelors degree in Social Services Field (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or other) Minimum 5 years of experience in Child Welfare. Combination of investigations and services experience are acceptable. Supervisory Experience. Current Child Welfare Certification through Florida Certification Board. Preferred Qualifications : Masters degree (preferably in Social Work). Provide leadership, management and administrative oversight for Child Protective Investigations and related functions in that County. This includes direct supervision of Child Protective Investigator Supervisors, assigns tasks; monitors work flow, sets priorities and makes assignments or reassignments as necessary. Provides technical assistance regarding programmatic and client issues and assists in interpreting rules, policies and procedures. Mentors and coaches employees and provides regular feedback regarding performance, including but not limited to annual performance reviews. In accordance with personnel rules, implements corrective or disciplinary action for employees as appropriate, including termination. In accordance with policy and procedure, recruit, interview and hire new employees for vacant positions. Executes policies and plans established by the state, Central Region and Circuit. Coordinates the development of corrective action plans relating to local programs policy or service delivery improvement and monitors the implementation to ensure quality assurance and improvement. Develops and implements a local annual plan for Child Protective Investigations consistent with the state's mission, vision, values and strategic plan. This plan must include the districts agreed upon programmatic and administrative targets for the year. The plan should include a component to address increased integrated service delivery, utilization of resources and staff training and make clear the commitment to "manage with facts. Reviews and submits all required programmatic reports and prepares special assignments within the specified timeframes. Coordinates investigations of special incidents or complaints regarding department service programs, ensuring event reports are submitted in a timely fashion. Develop and maintains cooperative working relationships with appropriate community agencies and officials. Actively works with community partner agencies to integrate client service delivery in the community. Coordinates and works with the Community Based Care providers. Participates on the Circuit Management Team. Participates in other agency and supervisory meetings as required. Develops implements and maintains a customer response system that timely and appropriately responds to client concern and complaints. Effectively manages financial resources allocated for units assigned. Reviews and approves, invoices and vouchers in compliance with Section 215.422, F.S. and Chapter 3A-24 of the Florida Administrative Code Manages the Service Center facility and ensures efficient maintenance and operation of the physical plant. Implement a tracking system for service orders requests and correspondence with the landlord and following established procedures, involves General Services when building issues are not adequately addressed by the Landlord.
