Support Specialist II/DUI/SSS

Job Description:

Minimum Training and Experience:

A high school diploma or GED and at least two(2)years of secretarial/clerical experience are required. Successfully completed studies beyond the high school level maybe substituted for the required experience at the rate of 720 classroom hours or 30 college credit hours per year. This position requires the working knowledge of the following computer software programs or equivalent: Microsoft windows 2000 or higher, Microsoft Word, and Excel. The ability to type at a rate of thirty(30)correct words per minute is required, but sixty (60) words per minute are preferred.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1.) Prepares charts, files, and all paperwork of the Special Supervision Services Program including determining initial application eligibility, assisting in registering persons served for the program. Requests medical records, previous DUI Program completions, and DUI treatment completions. Once approved or denied, sends all information to Administrative Review. Notifies persons served by certified mail. Tracks all persons served who are in the program.

2.) Prepares charts, files, and all paperwork of the Ignition Interlock Device Program.

3.) Schedules all appointments for SSS/IID persons served, assuring that SSS client appointments are scheduled according to 15A-10.034, and sends charts to the appropriate location for update appointments.

4.) Sends monthly letter for annual and bi-annual record fees due for FDLE and Driving Records, assuring that SSS anniversaries are reported for Trust Fund.

5.) Retrieves FDLE/Driving record, reviews each, notifying the DUI/SSS evaluators of any concerns and posts all payments received for SSS records.

6.)Tracks all SSS persons served due dates for drug screens and assures the request is in the chart for the next update appointment.

7.)Pulls monthly IID reports for all SSS/IID persons served. Reviews reports and notifies DUI/SSS evaluators of any concerns and types reports, correspondence, and other items as requested.

8.) Reviews Daily Financial Activity Reports and daily deposit slips prepared by the DUI and DATE Registrars for accuracy for all locations.

9.) Assists and cross trains with other DUI support staff as needed including: registration, class schedules, class rosters, and certificates of completion. Assists in assuring adequate staff coverage in other locations as needed.

10.) Assures that all SSS/IID case records are kept secure/confidential and tracks them when they leave their designated storage area.

11.) Performs other reasonable and related duties as assigned.
