Job Overview:The Private Brand Manager (PBM) position is responsible for delivering profitable growth of assigned private brands by identifying channel needs, aligning product portfolio with those channel needs, developing and managing strong sourcing partnerships to support the product portfolio while optimizing private brand delivered product costs and operational costs. This role demands a results-oriented, multi-tasker, with a commercial mindset and full comprehension of the supply chain. This role intersects with every aspect of our organization and it is critical for the individual to maintain positive working relationships internal and external to the ISN organization.Pivotal activities will include: channel planning, category/supplier reviews identifying opportunities, new product commercialization, promotional activity, marketplace management, and effective supply chain cost management. An ISN PBM must comprehend all aspects of their assigned brands, such as; channel trends, product trends, global supply trends, seasonality, regional differences, competitor profiles, and customer requirements.The goal of the Private Brand Management role at ISN is to treat the private brand as an individual business entity delivering consistent sales and profit growth, with balanced inventories and optimized supply chain operational costs.Responsibilities:Sales Performance - Develop go to market product direction for each sales channelAlign needed product characteristics for innovation in features and functions, product performance, quality and service requirements for each channelFinancial PerformanceSales, profit, marginROICSupply Chain Management - Develop supply chain strategies with key sourcing partners to;Reduce delivered product costs (product, freight, tariff, inventory)Reduce total lead timesReduce supply chain operational costsSupplier reduction and SKU reduction, 80/20Operational PerformanceInventory performance, GMROISLOBEX eliminationNew Item Management - From Idea stage (funnel management) thru commercializationFunnel - development of ideas for new and improved productsCoordinate and conduct market research (VOC) to identify opportunities for increased sales with an emphasis on the discovery or development of new productsCase Study - development of strategic fit, competitor analysis, customer needs, source/product development and financial justification,Commercialization - Rollout of new products into the marketEducation/Experience:Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) from four-year College or UniversityAt least 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Demonstrated analytics and data driven decision makingExceptional negotiating skillsExperience managing domestic and off-shore sourcing partnershipsExperience in category management and strategic line reviewsExperience preferred in the automotive tool and equipment aftermarket industryPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
