The paralegal provides a variety of support functions to attorneys in the areas of commercial transactions and contracts, lending and banking, and real estate and leases. Candidates will preferably have 5 or more years of experience working as a paralegal, closer or legal assistant in commercial transactions, banking, and/or real estate law.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide support to attorney in areas of commercial transactions and contracts, lending and banking, and real estate and leases;
• Prepare acquisition/disposition and finance closing documents;
• Perform and request title searches and prepare title commitments and title policies with attorney supervision;
• Review and analyze UCC, bankruptcy, litigation, and lien searches;
• Coordinate recording and payment of documentary stamp and transfer taxes;
• Familiarity with and ability to revise lending documents, loan packages, and closing statements;
• Prepare corporate minutes and resolutions, stock certificates and maintain corporate minute books;
• Experience in working with commercial contracts;
• Communicate well with clients and vendors;
• Coordinate and attend closings;
• Must be highly detail oriented and work well with others;
• Ability to work independently and to think analytically and critically;
• Maintain files and correspondence records;
• Maintain safeguards of confidential client information;
