Job Description:
A company is looking for an Engineering Team Leader (Backend)
for a remote position in the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading a distributed team of backend and frontend engineers,
collaborating with Product Managers and stakeholders
Solving complex challenges to enable global operations and
significant impact on the business
Spending 50% of time coding and 50% leading the team, ensuring
career progression and coaching
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience leading engineering teams, conducting 1:1s,
career progression, and salary reviews
Significant experience as a Backend Engineer, proficient in Elixir,
Postgres, and similar technologies
Experience in ambiguity, stakeholder collaboration, and translating
abstract concepts into software solutions
Strong independent work ability, project management skills, and
curiosity for learning and development
Good understanding of team dynamics, coaching, and mentoring
