Job Description:
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT: Dental hygiene tools, Eagle soft and HMS
computer software JOB DESCRIPTION: Using dental instruments and
hygiene equipment, performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and
root planning. Instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
Assisting a high number of patients as required. Ability to work
with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers.
SKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED: Must have a clear and current Florida
Dental Hygiene license Must have a current/active CPR certificate
Knowledge of dental terminology Knowledge of dental hygiene
principles and practices Skills using dental instruments and
equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root
planning. Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental
techniques. Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student
assistants and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the
betterment of the residents of Marion County Bilingual
(English/Spanish) – highly preferred Pediatric Experience – highly
preferred
