health meets independence. This position's focus is on ensuring the
residents complete their iADLs, such as meal planning, shopping,
and preparation, cleaning, and laundry, teaching these skills as
necessary. Starting rate of pay $21.00 per hour. Benefits include 3
weeks PTO (prorated), 10 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision,
401K with matching, and more. Job/Task Functions Supportive Housing
Specialist provides assistance to individuals who exhibit serious
impairment due to mental illness. Supportive Housing Specialist
will work with clients, their families, and significant others to
ensure access to the full array of needed and appropriate services
and resources available in the community in order to
reduce/eliminate the need for institutionalization,
hospitalization, incarceration and to enhance independence,
autonomy, and quality of life. Supportive Housing Specialist shall
provide services which shall include assisting clients in gaining
access to employment, medical, social, education, and other
services. These support services include working with the client
and their natural support system to implement the service plan.
Accurate documentation and billing of services is essential.
Detailed, intricate, accurate data entry may also be required.
Supportive Housing Specialist may work with individuals: in
independent supported housing and referrals to housing; our
assisted living facility; and/or experiencing homelessness.
Qualifications High School Diploma and at least 3 years working
with individuals with mental health or substance use. Must have
knowledge and must comply with state and federal statutes, rules
and policies that affect the target population. Must have knowledge
of available resources for adults with severe and persistent mental
illness. Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written skills.
Must demonstrate proficient computer skills (40 wpm). Must be able
to effectively utilize electronic health records. Must demonstrate
adequate knowledge and use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Ability
to work with diverse groups and individuals. Maintains current
training requirements. Must successfully complete all criminal
background screens and remain eligible. Must pass a drug screen and
follow drug-free workplace policy. Valid FL driver’s license, must
be able to drive with the ability to become and remain under the
agency’s insurance policy. Must have a negative TB screening within
30 days of hire and annually thereafter. Good Moral Character
