Position Summary The facility is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join a busy and well-established outpatient behavioral health department in Daytona Beach, Florida. This full-time, permanent opportunity offers flexible office hours, a supportive interdisciplinary environment, and limited call (telephone only). The position provides the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, focusing on both mental health and substance use disorders. Essential Position Responsibilities - Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for adult and adolescent patients. - Conduct individual, family, and group therapy as appropriate to patient needs. - Collaborate within a team-based behavioral health environment that includes Psychiatrists, PMHNPs, LCSWs, LMHCs, Crisis Intervention specialists, Intensive Outreach programs, and Addiction Services (including a Suboxone clinic). - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with clinical best practices. - Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives. - Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record. - Support continuity of care through collaboration with primary care physicians and specialty services within the organization. Qualifications - Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. - Licensure & Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry; active/eligible for Florida medical license. - Experience: Previous outpatient experience preferred; new graduates and residents are welcome to apply. - Skills & Competencies: - Strong interpersonal, diagnostic, and communication skills. - Comfort working with both mental health and substance abuse populations. - Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. - Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care.
