Job Description:
Lee Health is actively seeking a dedicated RN specializing in
Labor and Delivery to join our dynamic team in Southwest Florida.
In this role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality,
comprehensive care in our state-of-the-art maternity wards. Our
ideal candidate is a compassionate professional who is committed to
nurturing the health of mothers and newborns, ensuring their safety
and well-being during one of the most important times of their
lives. This role requires a profound understanding of prenatal,
labor, postpartum, and neonatal care, offering an opportunity to
work closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, and a
multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care. Assess,
plan, and implement nursing care for pregnant women before, during,
and after labor. Monitor fetal health status with appropriate
equipment and report any abnormalities. Administer medications and
treatments as prescribed by attending healthcare practitioners.
Assist in inducing labor and other procedures. Educate and support
mothers and families on baby care and postpartum recovery.
Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care and
safety. Document patient care services and update records
accordingly. Strong clinical skills in fetal monitoring and
neonatal care. Excellent ability to communicate and empathize with
patients and their families. Capability to work collaboratively in
a multidisciplinary health team. Resilient stress management and
ability to handle high-pressure situations. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of Florida. BLS certification required. ACLS
and PALS certification preferred. Certification in Inpatient
Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
certification highly regarded.
