Job Summary: As aDirect Support Professional (DSP),you will provide hands-on care and assistance to individuals in their daily lives. Your role will include helping them develop independent living skills, ensuring community inclusion, and supporting their overall well-being. Responsibilities: Provide direct care services tailored to the individuals needs. Assist withActivities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals inmeal preparationand ensure dietary needs are met. Promoteindependent living skillssuch as budgeting, grocery shopping, and household chores. Encourage and facilitatecommunity inclusion, social skills, and recreational activities. Implementindividualized goals and support plansin a person-centered environment. Ensure thehealth and safetyof all individuals under your care. Identify, document, and report anyincidents, allegations of abuse, or concernsas required. Administermedications accurately(upon successful completion of an approved AMAP course). Communicate effectively withstaff, management, and familiesto ensure coordinated care. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. At least 1 year of experiencein caregiving, healthcare, or disability supportpreferred(college credits may be substituted for experience). Must be reliable, patient, and compassionate. Ability to follow care plans and safety procedures. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
