Position Description: RN - Registered Nurse - Hemodialysis

The Registered Nurse - Hemodialysis independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The RN is responsible for professional accountability and development. The RN performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned. The Registered Nurse in Hemodialysis is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

* Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
* Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
* Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
* High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient

This position will float between Winter Haven Hospital and Bartow Regional Medical Center.

Requirements:

* Registered Nurse license
* BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
* ACLS may be required by department
* Associates Degree in Nursing
* 5 years as a Registered Nurse in Hemodialysis OR 1-year Acute Care as a RN OR 6 month Acute Care experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment
