The MA is responsible for assisting the Provider with patient visits, including consultative and surgical procedures.Medical Assistant Primary Duties:Assisting physician in providing quality care to patientsProviding side by side assistance with surgical proceduresReviewing medical historyMaintaining notes in EMRObtaining appropriate consentsCalling in prescriptionsPerforming patient call backsMedical Assistant Skills and Qualities:Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workersAble to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and knowing when to seek information or adviceProficient communication skills (written and verbal)Flexible hoursAble to travel between two locationsRequired Experience and Education:Medical Assistant (MA) Certification or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) LicenseHands-on experience in a clinic settingDermatology or surgical experience is preferred
