AVAILABLE POSITIONS Thank you for your interest in starting a career with Florida Baptist Children's Homes and One More Child! The Senior Director of National Development & Planned Giving is responsible for the strategic direction and management of key donors and fundraising initiatives essential to developing, expanding and stewarding major philanthropic support for One More Child, through national donor growth and planned giving strategy. The Senior Director has occasional contact with members and/or spouses of the Board, and frequent contact with major donors/prospects to the organization. Essential Duties & Functions

• Ensures that major gift, annual fund, planned giving, endowment activities and philanthropic support are based on the organizations strategic goals, objectives and future plans.
• Responsible for the planning and implementation of national development program and planned giving strategies to ensure fulfillment of funding goals including building and maintaining a major gift portfolio and identifying, qualifying, soliciting, cultivating, and stewarding major and planned gifts from individuals and businesses outside of the state of Florida.
• Builds an infrastructure for future growth of the national development and planned giving programs.
• Maintains collaborative relationships with executive and regional leadership to maximize fundraising effectiveness.
• Develops an atmosphere conducive to giving that supports the funding priorities of the organization.
• Coordinates major gift, annual fund, and planned gift prospect assignment/clearance through moves management meetings.
• Assists with the strategic planning and preparation of funding proposals, fundraising materials, and other presentations.
• Works with the Executive Director of Development to lead the strategic planning and implementation of identified major funding campaigns, including coordinating the development of campaign materials and campaign activity across departments and regions as needed.
• Articulates the funding priorities for One More Child with individuals and during speaking engagements before larger audiences.
• Seeks and identifies new prospects capable of contributing gifts and pledges at the annual fund, major gift and planned giving levels.
• Leads strategy development for the expansion of OMC fundraising into new cities being served by One More Child.
• Leads fundraising events outside the state of Florida, as well as Women of Compassion.
• Works closely with Initiatives, Engagement and Global to promote donor acquisition, database growth and continued communication with volunteers.
• Develops donor communication tools for cultivation, recognition, stewardship and solicitation.
• Maintains personal and professional growth and development through seminars, webinars, workshops, books, software, publications and professional affiliations to keep current with legal issues and the latest trends in the field of fundraising.
• Participates actively to assure compliance in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Plays a significant role in the communication strategies with donors and prospects.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
• Is highly motivated, organized, displays sound/mature judgment and integrity.
• Performs other duties as assigned.Education Required:
  • Successful fundraising track record
  • Successful record of building a fundraising program
  • Desire to do additional systematic self-study to upgrade knowledge and skills in development field
  • Experience in public speaking and program presentations
  • Good working experience in relation to individuals, church groups and staff
