The Opportunity
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:



  • Functions as a mid-level Process Lead in the Gas Processing Group.


  • Support projects for LNG, Carbon Capture, Hydrogen, Fertilizers, Gasification, Fermentation, Sulfur recovery and Biofuels


  • Perform all aspects of conventional process design engineering and analysis


  • Support projects for low-carbon fuel production, carbon capture (including utilization, and storage) and green chemical projects


  • Projects would include Flue Gas CO2 removal; Direct Air Capture of CO2; Fuel Gas/Syngas CO2 removal; and Fuel production from Gasification of biomass to Syngas

      Key Responsibilities
      Engineering Production:


      • Lead process engineering design of chemical facilities including Green Fuel Production and Carbon Capture (including utilization, and sequestration), Syngas Processing, Gasification, Hydrogen, Fertilizers (Ammonia, Urea, etc.), LNG, Fermentation, Sulfur recovery, Gas treatment, and NGL recovery and fractionation


      • Prepares a variety of moderately complex process engineering deliverables: Simulations, PFDs, H&MBs, MSDs, P&IDs, Equipment Datasheets, Instrument Data, Relief Valve Calculations, Complex Control Descriptions, Cause & Effect Diagrams


      • Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection


      • Lead implementation of solutions through the project life cycle: feasibility, FEL stages, FEED, detailed design, EPC, and commissioning


        Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology:

        • Serves as a technical specialist and has knowledge and skill set to provide consultation and guidance to project teams in a particular practice area

          Client Focus:


          • Actively seeks to understand client interests and drivers through normal client contact and through interaction and communication with project leadership


          • May provide support to business development or pursuit activities


            Preferred Qualifications


            • 1+ Years Experience in Decarbonization (Flue Gas CO2 removal; Direct Air Capture of CO2; Fuel Gas/Syngas CO2 removal; and Fuel production from Gasification of biomass to Syngas) facility design or operations


            • Working knowledge of PRO II, Promax, Protreat, HYSYS and similar process simulation packages


            • Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline


            • Written Communications, Drive For Results, Quality Driven, Priority Setting, Planning, Delegation, Directing Others, Conflict Management, Informing, Listening, Dealing with Ambiguity, and Building Effective Teams


              Minimum Qualifications
              Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
              Certifications
              Preferred to have Professional Engineer registration or licensure, or willingness/ability to pursue such registration.
              Work Environment/Physical Demands
              Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
