Job Description:
Epic Special Education Staffing is seeking a passionate and
proficient Sign Language Interpreter to join our team supporting
students with special needs. In this role, you will facilitate
communication and understanding within educational settings,
ensuring all students receive the highest quality of education and
support. This position demands a deep commitment to inclusivity, a
thorough understanding of sign language interpretations, and an
ability and willingness to adapt to various educational needs and
environments. Provide accurate and clear sign language
interpretation for students during class instructions, school
meetings, and other academic activities. Work collaboratively with
teachers, staff, and students to foster an effective learning
environment. Adapt communication to meet the educational and
psychological needs of students. Maintain confidentiality and
ethical standards of practice at all times. Participate in training
and development sessions to enhance skills and adapt to new
educational materials and technologies. Proficiency in American
Sign Language (ASL) Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently Knowledge
of special education needs and psychological aspects of student
learning disabilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for
the Deaf (RID) or similar State-specific interpreter certification
if applicable
