Job Description Job Description Description: The Senior Designer
is a key leader within our collaborative design studio, working
closely with the VP of Design & Digital Practice and
multidisciplinary teams to drive innovative design solutions for a
wide range of architectural projects. This role fosters creativity,
collaboration, and teamwork, where ideas are shared and developed
together. The Senior Designer will be involved in every stage of
the design process, contributing technical expertise, creative
leadership, and a passion for team-driven success. The ideal
candidate thrives in an open, supportive, fast-paced studio
environment focused on delivering outstanding architectural
solutions that exceed expectations. Requirements : Bachelor’s or
master’s degree in architecture or a related field. Minimum of 10
years of professional experience in architectural design.
Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD,
Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with
3D rendering and visualization tools (e.g., V-Ray, Enscape,
Lumion). Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and
standards. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong
leadership and team collaboration abilities. Responsibilities :
Design Leadership: Lead the development of design concepts,
ensuring input from all team members, including junior designers,
architects, and engineers, that meet client goals, budget, and
schedule. Lead the conceptual design phase, including space
planning, 3D modeling, rendering, and presentations. Ensure that
design outcomes reflect the Cuhaci Peterson brand while meeting
client objectives, balancing creativity with functionality. Ensure
designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and
designated sustainability goals. Project Management: Manage and
oversee multiple projects, guiding design teams to meet project
timelines, deliverables, and design quality consistently. Promote a
collaborative workflow across disciplines, working closely with
engineers, architects, landscape architects, and other stakeholders
to ensure seamless project coordination. Conduct client meetings
and design presentations to ensure client satisfaction and project
progress. Technical Expertise: Create detailed design documents,
including drawings, plans, and details for all design phases
(concept, schematic, design development, and construction
documentation). Work closely with the technical team to ensure the
design is feasible, buildable, and compliant with all codes and
regulations. Mentorship and Team Development: Provide guidance,
leadership, and mentorship to junior designers and architects.
Encourage open communication, creativity, and experimentation,
creating an inclusive environment where team members feel empowered
to contribute their ideas. Lead by example, fostering a culture of
continuous learning and professional development within the studio.
Client Collaboration: Engage with clients as part of the team,
fostering strong relationships built on trust, transparency, and
communication. Work with clients and stakeholders throughout the
design process, incorporating their feedback and ensuring alignment
with project goals and expectations. Present design ideas and
progress to clients, stakeholders, and external collaborators.
Innovation in Design: Advocate for cutting-edge design strategies
within the studio's projects. Stay current with trends in
architecture, materials, and design technologies, sharing insights
with the team to inspire innovation. Skills: Creative Vision:
Ability to develop compelling design concepts that are both
functional and aesthetically pleasing. Problem-solving: Ability to
resolve design and construction challenges promptly and
effectively. Time Management: Capable of managing multiple projects
and meeting tight deadlines. Client Engagement : Comfortable
leading client meetings and design presentations with confidence
and professionalism. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a
fast-paced, evolving environment and adept at managing changing
project needs and client expectations. Collaborative Mindset:
Thrives in a team-based environment where creativity and problem
