Job Description:

Accounting Supervisor (La Rusa LLC, Clearwater, FL): Supervise completion and preparation of financial reporting for various clients from various industries, including amazon sellers, trucking companies, restaurants, IT companies; Oversee month-end and year-end processes for books closing for all companies that receive bookkeeping services; Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation; Organize and oversee effective financial controls based on expertise, changing laws and market trends; Supervise completion of tax returns for all companies that receive bookkeeping services; Prepare complex business tax returns, which include consolidated reporting and foreign entities; With a focus on post-Soviet states, review and analyze financial reporting and tax returns, and advise international clients on differences between U.S. and international regulations and procedures; Evaluate accounting procedures, internal controls and database management practices to implement as necessary; Maintain and develop team members in correct use of financial and accounting systems by training and coaching; and Implement cost-saving measures through strategic planning and analysis. Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Knowledge and experience with accounting systems, financial statements and corporate documents from Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Belarus; Experience monitoring changes in international tax laws and taking these changes into account when preparing American tax returns; Knowledge of the principles of payroll and withholding taxes from individuals in the countries of the former USSR; Proficiency in the 1C Accounting program, the ability to prepare reports and perform analysis in this program; Proficient in Medoc software and ability to generate reports using this software; Experience with accounting for value added tax and excise tax in post-Soviet countries; Ability to read foreign bank statements to prepare an FBAR report; Experience with Accounting for income and expenses of private entrepreneurs in post-Soviet countries; Ability to negotiate and advise clients from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan; and Experience training and supervising a team of accountants. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and at least two years of experience as an Accountant or similar occupation.
